Hedsor House Wedding
A Beautiful Late Autumn Wedding At Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire.
Hedsor House, a magnificent Georgian mansion located in Buckinghamshire, a stunning backdrop for weddings and is also home to Highland cattle….Hedsor House really has it all. It’s no wonder it has been on my bucket list forever. I cannot explain the excitement I felt when Beth and Adam booked me for their autumn wedding here. A venue that is famous for its luxurious weddings and legendary parties. It really didn’t disappoint.
After a week of rain, the sun was shining for Beth and Adam. A beautifully crisp morning in Buckinghamshire. The buzz of excitement in the The Lavinia Suite was palpable. Beth and her Bridesmaids in full spirit as the make up and hair stylists worked their magic. The natural light in this enormous bridal suite is just exquisite. A truly luxurious space for morning preparations. Adam and the boys could be found next door in The Dustin Suite, drinking beer, chatting and joking around before they threw their suits on and headed downstairs to great the guests.
As the guest started to take their seats in Centre Hall for the ceremony, Beth was in The Lavinia suite making everyone cry as the big dress reveal took place with her bridesmaids and her dad. Then weaving around through all of the little corridors and cut throughs, Beth made her way to make her grand entrance in to the doomed ceiling centre hall for to meet her rather dashing groom. The marriage ceremony was short and sweet with plenty of chances for a giggle. The registrars keeping it nice and chilled before the newly married Beth and Adam made their way through the cheering crowd of guests to the front of the house for some group photos.
Late autumn and winter weddings do need a little bit of adjusting to my usual plan as the light fades so quickly. So we sped through the formal family photos allowing the couple to have a few mins milling with guests in The drawing room where the champagne drinks reception was being held. The late autumn light spilling through the glass doors whilst Stacey Sax did her thing playing some absolute classics and keeping the party spirit going.
Taking full advantage of the glorious low winter light on the South Lawn we braved the chilly air to get a few minutes of couples photos. The views are incredible at Hedsor House and the gardens are perfectly manicured all year round. A quick sweep through the gardens and then on to the front of the magnificent house was all we needed for a collection of beautiful photos of the newly weds. It’s often a great time to just take a breather from the busyness of a wedding day.
Then it was into the Ballroom to see the final vision before all of the guests take their seats. The timeless white flowers in a classic ballroom with sparking chandeliers was a real touch of class and elegence. As the guests spilled in to find their seats Beth and Adam had a few minutes to themselves whilst Stacey Sax prepared for the big entrance. Which was a spectacular in itself. As Stacey belted out ‘Freed from Desire” as she lead the dancing couple in and around the ballroom. Family and friends joining in on the celebrations singing the lyrics at the top of their lungs.
Following the speeches, everyone was encouraged to down their shot in a bauble before heading to the Centre Hall and the Willingdon bar to continue the party. The Centre hall painted with lights highlighting the dimmed ceiling and the mezzanine floor was the perfect setting for Beth and Adams first dance. A brief but lovely moment before the masses joined them on the dancefloor which is exactly where they stayed.
A massive thank you to Beth and Adam for trusting me with my first trip to Hedsor, It was certainly a day that I wont forget.
